Support sucks!!!, June 8, 2010 By Petra (Florida, United States) - See all my reviews This review is from: ElementTM EDBCO11 Blu-ray Disc Player (Electronics) It is a decent blu-ray player. That is why I gave it one star instead of none at all, but there will be no way I will get another blu-ray player or anything else from Element Electronics. The support sucks!!! We bought the player at the end of June and by November the remote didn't work anymore. We tried putting new batteries in - nothing. I called the companies support number and they took my home address and said they would send a new one. It never came! During the time the remote worked for a while and then quit once more. I called on Jan. 18, 2010 and they once more promised to send out a new remote. They took my address again and just like before no remote showed up. The funny thing is that the old remote sometimes works and then quits and nothing will get it going. I again called on 3-16-10 and left a message. Nobody EVER called back. I called again on 5-30-10 and was once more promised a new remote and again nothing!!! I left another message on 6-4-2010 and again never heard... Read more
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Notice: This is the single worst electronic device I have ever owned., October 27, 2010 This review is from: ElementTM EDBCO11 Blu-ray Disc Player (Electronics) The malady of issues and disappointments held within this Blu-ray player would be comical if it was in a movie, but are tragic when sitting your living room. For starters it takes no less then 4 minutes from the time you press the "Power" button until it is ready to play your disc.
Every Blu-ray I have played on it has had issues, which include but are not limited to: fading sound, skipping scenes, unable to eject disc, ridiculous load times.
At times it gets so bad I think it is just messing with me like an aggravated older brother. "I wonder what he will do if I don't play center sound on Mad Men disc 2 and then when he tries to eject the disc I just put I/O ERROR in the top of his screen and do nothing?" Turns out I get super pissed. Thanks Element you really made my day.
All of these issues are compounded by the Samsung Blu-ray player I have in bedroom that cost half as much, streams Netflix, and loads and plays a movie in less then 45 seconds.

worst blu ray player ever, June 16, 2011 This review is from: ElementTM EDBCO11 Blu-ray Disc Player (Electronics) I have owned this machine for a while, and it is terrible, it takes about 4-5 minutes to load a blu ray disc, and most of the time won't even load them at all, and even if it does, the sound is terrible, I have to turn the volume almost all the way up to even hear the dialogue. I never know whether to buy blu rays, because its a total crap shoot if it will even play them or not, and updating the thing is a total nightmare, I'm replacing this machine as soon as possible, please don't waste your money.
