The remote only works intermittently, October 10, 2010 By Scram J (Oakland, CA) - See all my reviews This review is from: Insignia Connected Blu-Ray Disc Player 1080p (Electronics) The remote doesn't work, one previous model broke but was replaced by Best-Buy because it was under a year and I kept the warranty info, the replacement worked fine for a while but now occasionally makes a loud whirring and clanking noise when playing a disc. The picture is good though.

Wish I had known Best Buy made this piece of junk., April 12, 2011 This review is from: Insignia Connected Blu-Ray Disc Player 1080p (Electronics) I have had this Blu-ray player for a while and had the same issues as most: crappy remote etc. but it wasn't until today that I had an issue with Netflix streaming that I had to call Insignia a.k.a. Best Buy customer support. Wow, I had three agents flat out lie to me and then come to find out one of them was working from home, even after she told me she was in the same building as the supervisor I had spoken to.
If you buy this product you will get sub-par quality and lazy lying customer service agents who will waste your time. It's no wonder CS jobs are getting outsourced to other countries when you have experiences like this.

Amazing Value Great Product, November 14, 2010 By This review is from: Insignia Connected Blu-Ray Disc Player 1080p (Electronics) Love this Blu Ray Player, works great for the price and easily the best feature is the Netflix. Stream movies ultra fast to your TV with a Netflix subscription (sold separately but it's under $10 bux a month ABSOLUTELY WORTH IT!) The Wi-Fi connection makes everything simple and clutter-free. Netflix has something for everyone. Movies, T.V. shows, cartoons for kids, it's amazing. Great movies and even started watching some T.V. shows. Never really was one for watching T.V. shows but I've really started to enjoy watching some great ones on this blu-ray player, (Dexter, Battlestar Galactica, Lost, Heroes and much much more! ). Only downside is the cheap remote controller but I'll be setting it up with my universal remote shortly, problem solved. Highly recommend this unit!!
